The Opportunity

TSG is gearing up for a busy season and is seeking a part-time, per diem, remote-based Prevailing Wage Report/Compensation Specialist who will assist with the anticipated increase in volume. The Prevailing Wage Report/Compensation Specialist will use published surveys to analyze data and provide customized prevailing wage reports to immigration law firms in accordance with requirements set forth in the Immigration and Nationality Act.

The Prevailing Wage Report/Compensation Specialist should be available to train during normal business hours (8:30 am to 4:30 am). Once fully trained, hours will be available based on report orders and can be worked whenever you are most productive, as long as turnaround guarantees are met.

Minimum Qualifications:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Consults with immigration/corporate attorneys on prevailing wage data requests for immigration and visa needs (i.e. H1-B Visa) in accordance with the Immigration and Nationality Act.
  • Uses published surveys to obtain and analyze market pay rates and prepares reports and extended reports that meet guidelines for acceptable prevailing wage data.

  • Maintains excellent relationships with clients.
  • Collaborates with Accounting Administrator on billing related to reports provided.
  • Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of progressively responsible compensation analyst experience that involves job matching and market pricing jobs.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation analysis with a heavy focus on market data analysis, research, and strong understanding of relevant jobs, leveling and labor markets.
  • Strong knowledge of labor markets, pay survey sources and data, and position matching/leveling.
  • Strong job analysis skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with people at all levels in an organization and clearly summarize findings in reports and expert opinion letters.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Access

  • Knowledge of immigration/prevailing wage regulations a plus.
