Diversity and inclusion issues surface frequently and unexpectedly wherever we work. This session provides an opportunity for human resource professionals to become more effective in supporting diversity and inclusion in their workplace. It offers attendees a way to understand the link between diversity and compensation and to become more adept at recognizing and handling diversity issues that come up at work.
Whether you work as a diversity professional, an HR generalist, HR manager or have responsibility for organizational culture change and strategic planning this session will provide you increased diversity awareness, examples of intervention choices, and implications for compensation decisions. This is an opportunity to examine and enhance your role as ally and advocate for inclusionary behavior and inclusive organizations.

Debora S. Bloom, Debora Bloom Associates
Debora Bloom is committed to workforce diversity and harassment prevention. For more than 20 years, she has consulted to a wide variety of organizations in the U.S. and internationally on these and other human resource management issues.
Ms. Bloom has held management faculty positions at several universities, including the University of Massachusetts, Northeastern University, and Lesley University. She has taught in the anti-discrimination trainer certification course offered by the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD).
In addition, Debora is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), serves on the Diversity Committee of the New England Human Resources Association and has been active in the American Society for Training and Development.
Debora holds an M.A. from New York University and completed doctoral studies in organizational development at Harvard and MIT.
